This is a really great prophecy given by a minister by the name of Stanley Frodsham in 1965. Apparently Stanley was a close friend of Smith Wigglesworth, I am sure that name sounds familiar, right? It is a warning against last days deception. The prophecy is quite long and instead of posting it here I am just going to add it here as a link below and also as a PDF file:

If Christianity is to receive a rejuvenation, it must be by other means
than any now being used. If the Church in the second half of this
century is to recover from the injuries she suffered in the first half,
there must appear a new type of preacher. The proper, ruler-of-the-
synagogue type will never do. Neither will the priestly type of man
who carries out his duties, takes his pay and asks no questions,
nor the smooth-talking pastoral type who knows how to make the
Christian religion acceptable to everyone. All these have been tried
and found wanting.
Another kind of religious leader must arise among us. He must be
of the old prophet type, a man who has seen visions of God and
has heard a voice from the Throne. When he comes (and I pray
God there will be not one but many), he will stand in flat contradiction
to everything our smirking, smooth civilization holds dear. He will
contradict, denounce and protest in the name of God and will earn
the hatred and opposition of a large segment of Christendom.
Such a man is likely to be lean, rugged, blunt-spoken and a little
bit angry with the world. He will love Christ and the souls of men
to the point of willingness to die for the glory of the One and the
salvation of the other. But he will fear nothing that breathes with
This is only to say that we need to have the gifts of the Spirit
restored again to the Church. And it is my belief that the one gift
we need most now is the gift of prophecy.
“Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to
know what Israel ought to do, their chiefs were two hundred” -1 Chr 12:32.
A prophet is one who knows his times and what God is trying to
say to the people of his times….
Today we need prophetic preachers; not preachers of prophecy
merely, but preachers with a gift of prophecy. The word of wisdom
is missing. We need the gift of discernment again in our pulpits. It
is not ability to predict that we need, but the anointed eye, the
power of spiritual penetration and interpretation, the ability to
appraise the religious scene as viewed from God’s position, and
to tell us what is actually going on….
Where is the man who can see through the ticker tape and confetti
to discover which way the parade is headed, why it started in the
first place and, particularly, who is riding up front in the seat of
What is needed desperately today is prophetic insight. Scholars
can interpret the past; it takes prophets to interpret the present.
Learning will enable a man to pass judgment on our yesterdays,
but it requires a gift of clear seeing to pass sentence on our own day….
If we are going to have a revolution in the church, then we are going to have to get a hold of the understanding of Apostolic. When it comes to apprehending the genius of this word, no man that I know of has put forth a better presentation then Art Katz. Who is Art Katz you say? Well he was a prophet. I believe that, sadly, he falls into the category of prophet that Leonard Ravehnhill spoke of:
He is the villain of today and the hero of tomorrow.
He is excommunicated while alive and exalted when dead!
He is friendless while living and famous when dead.
He is against the establishment in ministry; then he is established as a saint by posterity.
In other words although he did make an impact while he was with us, he was largely unappreciated and disregarded by the religious system of his day. However, he had a message for his contemporaries that was far ahead of its time and although the religious climate in which he ministered was largely not ready to receive his message, I predict that the new spiritual climate is being primed and made ready to run with this Apostolic message! I really believe that as this mentality ignites, very soon the number of copies of Art’s books that are available will not be able to keep up with the demand for those who begin to seek out this message, a message that was truly ahead of its time. Anyhow, wether my predictions come to pass or not, one thing I will say is that the messages of this man have deeply impacted my walk and the words he spoke continue to take me higher and higher in God! Therefore, to answer the question of what is Apostolic I will quote directly out Art’s book “Apostolic Foundations”:
Like every great biblical word, we will not find the definition in a dictionary. We need rather to be apprehended by the genius of what that word represents. It is a seeking out and restoring of all that was once authentic, all that was held dear, all that was believed, all that was understood, and all that was vital in the first church. There is something pungent about the word apostolic that brings to mind the heart, the spirit and the sense of the church when it was at its glory. The church was apostolic at its inception and needs to be so at its conclusion…
I truly believe that until we grab hold of this in the spirit, we will not see the Glory of God return to the church! This is vital
For your consideration, I am including in this post a message by Art Katz that has the ability to ruin you for the normal church experience:
To God Be the Glory in the Church
Here are a few statements from the Art Katz ministries website, that I think are appropriate:
Art portrayed a knowledge of God that few in contemporary times have fathomed or understood. Whether the subject was the future, necessary death and resurrection of the nation Israel, or Paul’s teaching on widows and slaves in the congregation, Art strived to represent “God as He in fact is, and not as we think Him to be.”
Art was a prophetic voice insofar as he called his listeners to purposes in God that would affect both time and eternity, purposes that had to do with the glory of God in the Church. Frequently, his messages called the Church to an awareness of the Last Days [End-times] in such a way that made that time seem imminent and at the door. Some called him a forerunner in the sense of a man who cleared the way for others, and who could therefore call back and encourage them onward to the high call of God in Christ Jesus. Though a man of flesh and blood, like us all, Art walked that ‘high road,’ and one frequently caught a whiff of the fragrance of God, that can only emanate out of that place in God.
I have found this to be some of the most insightful teaching on the book of Revelation, quite possibly the best ever in audio format. David Pawson has a unique teaching style, he is gifted to de-mystify the book and make it very palatable in just 11 sessions. I am going to offer them for listening here on the blog, please do not attempt to download onto your computer as this would be a violation of copyright:
The United States is undeniably the richest and most powerful nation ever on the face of the earth. The gross domestic product (GDP) of the U.S. is larger than the next two biggest economies combined, which in China and Japan. The U.S. economy outproduces the combined economies of over forty-seven poor nations, which account for 53 percent of the population of the world. These forty-seven nations include China and India. But on an individual scale, just how does the income of the average American compare to the average income of the poor of the world?
In 2000 the per capita income of the U.S. was 360 percent higher than the world’s average per capita income (CPI). The U.S. boasted a CPI of $34,100 while the average world CPI was $7,410 (measured in international dollars).
According to statistics from the World Bank, 56 percent of the world’s population lives in extreme poverty. They survive on an income of less than $730 per year or $2 per day. Half of the worlds poor who comprise 28 percent of the world’s population live on $1 or less per day. In comparison, the average American earns from 46 to 92 times more than the poverty stricken comprising over half the world’s population.
These statistics are staggering, this shows that the average American is not only wealthy in comparison to the rest of the world, but compared to 56 percent of the population we literally live like kings.
Now here we are in 2009 and the future of a once wealthy nation is now in question. Our politicians and our “wise men” are frantically running around trying to figure out a solution to America’s financial woes. Putting a band-aide here, plugging a hole in the dam there, desperately seeking ways to hold back what is coming. We now have the latest trillion dollar stimulus package passed by a democratic Congress and signed by our new president. If you ask me it almost seems like instead of finding a way to “bail” us out it actually seems like they have signed legislation that will deliberately sink us further into debt. It is as if they are deliberately trying to crash the American Economy permanently.
We are now living “in” the time of God’s judgment on America, he has given us leaders after our own heart, just as he did when he appointed Israel’s first King, Saul, in the Old Testament. Why would God’s judgments focus in on our economy? Why not allow us to be overtaken by enemy nations, like he did to Israel in the Bible. Why not more natural disasters that could permanently handicap us as a nation.
If we look into the Scriptures, which represents the perfect mind of God, we can get spiritual insight into any circumstance and any situation. Let’s consider a passage out of the Gospel of Matthew:
Matthew 19:16-26 (NASB)
16 And someone came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?”
17 And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
18 Then he said* to Him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER; YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY; YOU SHALL NOT STEAL; YOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS;
19 HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER; and YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”
20 The young man said* to Him, “All these things I have kept; what am I still lacking?”
21 Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
22 But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.
23 And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
24 “Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said, “Then who can be saved?”
26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Look at the dilemma this young ruler finds himself in. He wants to enter into the Kingdom of God, upon questioning Jesus he realizes that he does not qualify, because he was one who owned much property and he was unwilling to sell all his possessions and give to the poor. It wasn’t that Jesus is commanding everyone to give up what they own, as this Scripture has been falsely interpreted over the centuries. Rather Jesus was telling the man this in order to show him what was in his heart. He was in idolatry, he had another God that he served, in whom he was unwilling to part ways with. It reminds me of a story of a young man who hears the gospel for the first time. He gets excited and goes tell his grandfather. As he began to explain what it was he heard concerning Jesus and how intrigued he had become, the man then pulled out a huge roll of money and waved it in his grandson’s face and said “this is my god”. What a perfect metaphor for this American nation, there are voices preaching Truth to those whom they love and all they can do is pull out their roll of bills wave it in God’s face and say “this is the god in whom we serve”.
Jesus told his disciples that it was easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. To this statement they exclaimed ”Then who can be saved!” Jesus said with man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Is it a possiblilty that the current judgments that we are entering into is a fulfillment of this very Scripture. God is at work, by tearing down our high and mighty financial status, God is actually bringing us low, humbling us to a place where money is no longer our God and all we can do as a nation is look up and cry out to God for mercy. In the mind of God, He knows that “it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God”.
In the famed “beatitudes” Jesus spoke forth “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they shall inherit the kingdom of God”. Obviously he was not talking about being poor in the natural, however he was talking about those of us who have come to a place of “spiritual bankruptcy”, these shall inherit the kingdom of God. It is not until we come to a place where we know that there is nothing we can do to pay off our sin debt, that we can be born again and enter into the kingdom of God. Because in realizing that there is nothing we can do, we come to the revelation that it is in fact Jesus who paid the price of our redemption! Is it possible, that God is bringing this nation to financial bankruptcy so that he can take us to a place of spiritual bankruptcy? Personally I don’t know for sure what the answer to that question is, however I am glad to have the mind of God in my house, so that when his judgments hit, I will not faint because I know that I know whom it is that keeps me!
Does Scripture give us any information concerning the phenomenon of hurricanes in the last days? As I was reading the Bible a few days after Hurricane Ike slammed against the Texas and Louisiana coast I came across this passage:
Luke 21:25-28 (NASB)
25 “There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27 “Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN A CLOUD with power and great glory.
28 “But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
Not only does the Bible speak of these type of storms, but Jesus Himself is the one who made mention of them. Obviously in the Bible days the word Hurricane had not yet been invented, however look at what language is used here: men would be “…in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and its waves.” The morning prior to me discovering this Scripture I had been reading news articles concerning Hurricane Ike and they interviewed one women who had lived in Galveston, TX all of her life and had been through many hurricanes, some that had hit even stronger than Ike and she could not understand how this time much more devastation had occurred. She was absolutely shocked because the sea had come all the way up and was as high as her garage. She said “we have never seen this before.”
Even where I live near Lafayette,LA we have had some serious issues when Ike hit. There is an area about 20 miles south of here that experienced flooding from the storm surge for both Ike and Hurricane Rita in 2005. Both Hurricanes caused people in the area including some close acquaintances of mine to abandon their homes because of flooding. In 3 years this area experienced serious flooding twice due to the storm surge from the Hurricanes. On the local news people being interviewed began to talk about how they had lived there 30 to 40 years and had been through many hurricanes and they never seen flooding like this. Why was it that in only 3 years they began to see type of flooding not just happen once, but also a second time as well. Could it be that the words of Jesus are being fulfilled in this very hour that we live. Men are starting to be perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves.
The Scripture says that men will begin to faint because of fear due to all of the things that are coming upon the earth. It seems like it wasn’t to long after Ike passed in 2008, we had another storm hit America. We began to have a economic tsunami sweep across the nation as part of the fallout from the housing market crisis. In the same way that this women in Galveston was astonished at the rising waters coming up past her garage towards the second story of her home, Americans also found themselves astonished as the waves of this financial crisis began to roll and hit closer and closer to their own neighborhoods and into their own lives.
So what is in store for 2009? Will we find ourselves being pulled out of a recession as Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke said this morning? or will the headlines continue to read like the words of prophecy spoken by Jesus? Will 2009 be a year of dismay among nations, men fainting from fear and expectation of the things coming upon the earth; will this be the year that America as well as the rest of the world begins to see the powers of the heavens begin to shake….
Hebrews 12:25-29 (NASB)
25 See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.
26 And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN.”
27 This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;
29 for our God is a consuming fire.
The Holy Spirit goes out into all the world, wooing man and pointing Him to Jesus. He is convicting hearts and revealing “true” righteousness to the hardened minds of men. In these last days He has been doing His true work of leading multitudes of people out of darkness into The Light. No true Bible scholar or teacher can argue the fact that it is the Holy Spirit’s work and power that redeems man out of his sinful and perishing state. In spite of all that God has done in this marvelous work, even in this nation of the United States, man has done his best at destroying the plan and purposes of God for His church. The church is in rebellion against God, even the ones that He Himself has pulled out of darkness and raised as sons, they have turned against Him and furthermore the fruit of their actions and ministries is evidence that they don’t even know Him. The manifold wisdom of God shed abroad over the whole earth through the cross, the “mind” of God sitting on our book shelves and desks within arms reach and we still choose the inferior wisdom and traditions of man over the infinite and eternal wonders of God’s Word. I ask myself what will become of the Last Days church, will we continue to be weighed down with iniquity as we almost mockingly try to be God’s light and representation on the earth. Will we continue to make our proselytes “twice a son of hell” because we put the light in their hearts and then we don’t show them according to God’s Word to walk in righteousness and fear before a Holy God. As a representation of our Lord we have become corrupt, to find an authentic “body” one must search high and low to find a remnant in obscure places. Those who at the start of the race were sent forth and commissioned by the Lord have now forsaken Him to serve another Jesus and another master. Oh! the deception of the boastful pride of life, Oh the deception of the demonically inspired traditions of men! Our Great Sin is that by joining up with the world, we as a body have become like Sodom. Our leaders have not wanted to hear, much less preach the Word of the Lord and only a remnant in this hour are giving their ear to the teaching and instruction of the Word. Isaiah the prophet declared the Word of the Lord over Idolatrous Israel that God hated their solemn assemblies. They had become a burden to Him, He even said that they spread out their hands to Him and He hid His eyes from them and furthermore that even if they offered many prayers He said He would not listen(Isaiah 1:13.14). The question to those who have, like myself, recognized this problem, do we just sit by as objective observers and acknowledge how God is working through impure vessels despite themselves. Do we just take note of how small pockets of precious souls are getting delivered in the midst of man’s forms and models of churchianity and continue to be silent and appeased while large groups of would be saints are going to hell in droves. Or, do we rise up as a prophetic people and plead with the spiritual leaders and with our brothers and sisters to turn back to God. Should we risk it all like the prophets of old, should we cry out like Isaiah “COME NOW LET US REASON TOGETHER WITH GOD!!!” “LET US WASH OURSELVES FROM THE FILTH OF RELIGION AND LEARN TO TRULY FOLLOW GOD” The first option will cost us nothing and as a result we will have more of the same. The second option will cost us everything and sadly there are no guarantees that our one voice will change anything. In fact we might even be rejected by all, we may be written off as a fruit cake or a fanatic with some kind of agenda and vendetta against the church. We will be ostracized by the who’s who of Christianity and there may even come a time very soon where those who kill us will think that they are doing a service to God. Truly the second option comes at a great price, perhaps it is for this reason that Jesus said many are called, but few are chosen. It is with eager anticipation that I await the day that the prophets are no longer silent…..
“How the faithful city has become a harlot, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once lodged in her, But now murderers.” -Isaiah 1:21
The destructive patterns of sin that occurred in OT times are no different in modern times. Nations that sin, follow the patterns of Scripture. The things that happened to Israel, happened for our admonition. The way God judged the nations then, is the way He will judge now.
America was once a faithful and “truly” Christian nation, a people who stood for righteousness and shunned sin and pagan practices. It was a nation full of righteousness, when people got married it would be vows for life. It was a nation where divorce was uncommon, the family unity was strong, there was no filth on radio and tv in plain view of our children. Prayer and Bible study were allowed in schools. Children didn’t do drugs, have pre-marital sex, or use obscene language, they didn’t rebel against parents and authority figures, they did as they were told. Oh how this nation has fallen, oh how it has become a harlot, surely the words of the Prophet are coming to pass. We who were once full of justice & righteousness are now a nation of idolaters, fornicators & murderers.
“Your silver has become dross, your drink diluted with water.” – Isaiah 1:22
Look at our nation today, our economy that was once strong is steadily becoming worthless. The value of our dollar is steadily declining to new lows, or silver is becoming dross or worthless. Even the quality of our products have decreased dramatically. Three of our nations largest car manufactures need massive amounts of bailout money to keep them from closing the doors. Over time the quality of their product has declined so drastically that more and more of their customers are buying foreign products. That which was once quality is now like a drink diluted with water.
“Your rulers are rebels and companions of thieves; Everyone loves a bribe and chases after rewards. They do not defend the orphan, Nor does the widow’s plea come before them.” – Isaiah 1:23
How much more can the Scripture read like today’s headlines. The Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was taken into federal custody on corruption charges stemming from trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat. In other words he was taking bribes in exchange for leadership positions. It turns out that our new President-Elect and his aides have close ties with Blagojevich. The corruption in our government is nothing new, however as the judgment of God closes in on our sin sick nation the scale of corruption is increasing exponentially and is now going into higher ranks of leadership in more brazen forms.
Amazing!, God’s Word is timeless and still very revelant. The pages of the Old Testament Prophet’s are issuing loud and clear warning for our fallen nation: REPENT! REPENT! REPENT! or we are doomed to enter into the same or even worst judgments then the nation of Israel faced. This sounds like gloom and doom, however the hope that we have is in this, that which God destroys He rebuilds. One thing is for sure, “through His judgments, He will be revealed”.
Isaiah 3:10-12 (NASB)
10 Say to the righteous that it will go well with them, For they will eat the fruit of their actions.
11 Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, For what he deserves will be done to him.
12 O My people! Their oppressors are children, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray And confuse the direction of your paths.
